  1. The Odyssey of Pioneers in the Big Apple!!

    Throughout the summer, the TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster was driven accross the US and stopped in cities nationwide, including Malibu, Calif. and Miami, where TAG Heuer hosted exclusive cocktail receptions on July 29 and August 19, respectively. It was the leader of a roadshow exhibiting TAG Heuer historical and current timepieces, celebrating the brand’s 150th anniversary.
    New York was the last stop in the US.

  2. Lewis produced a dominant display to win the Belgium Grand Prix!!

    Lewis won an epic Spa race in which the predicted rain wreaked havoc with many of the World Championship contenders.
    Hamilton led from the start as polesitter Mark Webber failed to get away from pole position with any speed. However it was a combination of rain and team-mate Sebastian Vettel who threw the race into chaos.

    Famous Japanese actress Anne Watanabe drove the Tesla and brought the TAG Heuer Pendulum to its showcase. Jack Heuer, Jean-Christophe Babin and Giorgio Sarne welcomed her on stage.

  39. THE CALIBRE 1887 - A new TAG Heuer movement produced and assembled in-house

    At the occasion of its 150th anniversary and only a few weeks after commercializing the Monaco V4, TAG Heuer launches a new chronograph, produced and assembled in-house at its Swiss production sites in Cornol (Jura) and La Chaux de Fonds (Neuchâtel). Based on an existing platform developed and patented in the late 90’s by SII (Seiko Instruments Inc.) of which TAG Heuer has acquired the intellectual property usage rights, the Calibre 1887 was completely industrialized by the TAG Heuer Research and Development Team. The team also significantly re-developed some of its key components to match the new high-end Swiss assortment and increase its precision and reliability. The project has already generated 45 new production and assembly jobs.

    It is the second win of the season for our world champion Lewis Hamilton, who dominated the 61 lap, Singapore Grand Prix in his Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, from start to finish. On the podium, Lewis Hamilton was wearing a special Singapore limited edition of the new Carrera Cal.16 DD Chronograph.

  49. TAG Heuer Social Media Newsroom Launch

    TAG Heuer was pleased to celebrate 40 years of the legendary Monaco, celebrating 40 years of legend, as well as the opening of the new TAG Heuer Social Media Newsroom at their flag ship store in London on 2nd July.

    A gracious thanks to all that attended the successful event. There were a host of beautiful prototypes, including the first working model of the Monaco V4. Additionally, the Social Media Newsroom was revealed, which provides stories, images, videos and campaign shots for bloggers and forum members. In attendance was Antoine Pin, Managing Director of LVMH Watch & Jewellery UK who was on hand to answer questions about the future of TAG Heuer.

    Mr. Pin had this message, “No one can ignore the importance of the On-line world. We are thrilled to be able to communicate openly and directly with Bloggers and Forum contributors, partnering with them and allowing them to create compelling content by providing them inside access to the world of TAG Heuer.“

    Once upon a time on the Le Mans circuit, Steve McQueen was at the wheel of his Porsche 917. On his wrist he sported the Monaco – an automatic, square, blue chronograph that suddenly caused mayhem in the orderly world of classical watchmaking… This iconic timepiece, which met with such enormous and lasting success, deserved to be redesigned to the very latest technical expression. Now TAG Heuer is launching the Monaco LS Calibre 12 Chronograph.

    The Heuer Monaco is a legend there is no debate about that. However our favorite 1970s chronograph from Heuer is called the Camaro. We have only featured one Camaro before but that is only because they are reasonably difficult to find in good shape.
    The one we have found today is in excellent shape actually with original face hands case and even buckle. It features a matte black face with matching three register chronograph dials. The movement inside this Heuer is a Valjoux 7736 which is a manual-wind movement even though at the time Heuer was proudly using their automatic…

    It has been said that Tag Heuer lost its way for a decade or two. They were producing decent although fairly unexciting sport watches. It was really a shame too because some of the sport chronographs they put out in the 60s and 70s were truly hot pieces of horology. For example take a look at this Camaro for Champion Spark Plugs. Or how how about this great Jarama chronograph named after the famed Spanish racetrack Another favorite is the Dato 45 seen here and the first automatic Carrera seen here.
